It's the way they stack for each gun that makes it unusable. Applying it just once would be a perfectly reasonable penalty. Same for all T2 ammo.

0.0 will be much worse for this. Not only is it mostly empty but alot of people will log or safespot as soon as you enter. Best thing is to keep with the low-sec belts, get to know popular systems and improve your scanner skills. I felt the same ...

I'm at five weeks now and any T1 Frig would be 20 mins work... if I forgot to insure it. Even with mods thats less than an hours setback. I guess some people find WoWs "spend 15 whole seconds as a ghost!" the limit for death penalties.

No. Without pirates Eve would be like every other MMPORPG - watching a set of numbers get bigger. Non-consential PvP adds the risk that makes it into a game.
